Check in

  • Be visible and available to passengers, check-in agents and to the tour operators both in front and behind desk
  • Monitor queue flow, direct passengers to desks, to facilitate a smooth check-in procedure
  • Special attention to be paid to the needs of PRM passengers.
  • Assisting with luggage and wheelchairs from check in to screening and where necessary escort the passenger to the gate
  • Identify family groups in the queue and at the counter, often a couple of minutes amusing a small child, allows the parents to concentrate on the checking procedure.Assist with moving luggage/pushchairs if required
  • Maintain a personal contact with passengers in the queues and assist with removing old tags, pulling tickets from the booklets. Thus, giving passengers an opportunity to bring up a question or a problem
  • Assist at the desk with problems regarding seating, passengers not in PNL, or communication difficulties, offering more detailed explanations of issues, if required
  • Oversee the allocation and sales of the extra-space seats, deal with excess baggage and standby passengers

At the gate

  • Monitor the performance of passport and boarding card recognition checks
  • Assist gate staff as necessary to help with timely and smooth boarding
  • Be visible to passengers during their boarding time for any last-minute requests

During Delays

  • Monitor information boards, screens and PA announcements
  • Issue Privilege Smart welfare vouchers to passengers, either at check-in , or inside the departure lounge
  • During delays a member of staff will be available in the departure lounge for information and questions
  • A member of staff available in the transit lounge offering flight information to passengers
